Situated in Woodstock, an historic market town north west of Oxford, lies the magnificent Blenheim Palace. The estate extends to 4,998 hectares and is made up of farmed land, woodland, parkland, lakes and stunning formal gardens.

Blenheim Palace was built for John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough, in recognition of his great victory over the French at the Battle of Blenheim in 1704. The Palace, designed by Sir John Vanbrugh, is one of the largest, finest private houses in the country and contains a superb collection of tapestries, paintings, sculptures and fine furniture set in the magnificent gilded State Rooms.
Blenheim Palace has a wide offering of hospitality services from conferences and marquee events to an elegant dinner held in the State Apartments. The Long Library boasts the longest private room in any British stately home and can dine up to 320 guests.

Dinners can also be held in The Orangery overlooking the private Italian Garden. The facilities are now being extended and redeveloped and the new arrangements will open in May 2004. Blenheim Palace will then be the largest and most spectacular venue in the area.
